We are passionate about food, we want you to experience a true flavour of Dumfries and Galloway. We carefully select our suppliers and use wherever possible local produce. Our Executive Head Chef Paul Somerville has brought a new excitement and ambition to our menus. His traditional blend of Classic Scottish Fayre with Mediterranean influences leaves a mouth watering selection of dishes sourced from local suppliers and farms. Hi, I'm Paul Somerville, Exec Head Chef here at the Best Western Selkirk Arms Hotel. My mission is simple, I want you to want to return again and again and again.

We have changed the menu to reflect the seasonal availability and to also offer you, the customer something different. I would be delighted to hear from any of you with your comments good and bad. To our regular guests that keep coming back for more, thank you, to our new guests, I look forward to cooking for you. But I am not alone behind the scenes and I must thank the wonderful team that work alongside me, we even get Chris back in the kitchen the odd few days a week, there's life in the old boy yet !!!
